About My Practice I treat adult clients only - mostly with my DNMS model. I also write books and articles about the DNMS, research the DNMS, and teach other therapists how to do the DNMS. So I take clients who are especially interested in using the DNMS to resolve their unwanted behaviors, beliefs, and emotions, and to heal their old wounds. If you'd like to know if the DNMS is right for you, read my seven-page handout, or watch my 25-minute slide show. Click here for the 25-minute DNMS slide show. My sessions are typically 1 hour, 1.5 hours, or 2 hours long. The session length is determined by the phase of treatment, the treatment goals, and financial considerations. Longer sessions tend to be more efficient, so scheduling long sessions may cost less in the long run. Ultimately it is up to each client to decide how long his/her sessions will be. Sessions are typically scheduled weekly or biweekly. Clients who cannot come often, or who must travel a long distance to see me, may wish to schedule longer sessions. I often travel around the country to give DNMS workshops. When I'm in town I have some availablity for between-session phone support, but when I am out of town, I do not. For that reason, I don't take clients who have frequent crises, or who need a lot of between-session, emergency, crisis support. Clients who need that level of care will be referred to a therapist who can provide it.
